Frequently Asked Questions

Is ShadowTek Futbol a Soccer Club?

No, ShadowTek Futbol is not a soccer club. We provide supplemental soccer training services, camps, clinics and events as well as share digital training content across a variety of social media platforms. We are a community of like-minded players and mentors across the country based out of Southwest Virginia in the United States.

Our mission is to maximize a player’s technical skills & personal tactics regardless of club affiliation or geographic location to help them achieve more success when returning to their team environment. Supplemental sessions, camps and clinics can be scheduled around your Club or High School team training sessions.

Zoom Sessions will be a service we will be adding soon as well. Check us out on social media to join us on our journey.

What makes this training unique?

ShadowTek Futbol has found its niche. We are focused on small group training sessions with a strong emphasis on developing technically superior players. Sessions focus on teaching players how to use advanced dribbling and aerial ball skills to increase their performance in the team setting. Our training is designed around 3 Core Concepts:

1) Teaching technical skills

2) Mastering those skills in a variety of 1v1 situations

3) Applying those skills in a small-sided game while teaching decision making

We teach players a variety of technical skills depending on their current skillset and then we teach the player how to use their new moves in a 1v1 situation with light to strong pressure. We progress to teaching how to use those new skills in game situations focusing when to pass the ball and when to dribble.

Why all these advanced skills instead of something simple?

We teach advanced dribbling skills because it makes it far harder for defenders to predict our player’s movements. Sometimes simple does not equate to better. Defenders are becoming more intelligent. Our philosophy is that a player who can do absolutely anything with the ball is going to fit into more systems of play than they don’t and have an easier time maintaining possession of the ball.

Our goal is to develop players who dribble with a purpose. The purpose of creating more opportunities for their team while putting on a show for all those who are watching. We also recognize that the interest for this type of training has never been higher than it is today. We have seen players rediscover their love for the game and seen confidence be rebuilt in only a few sessions when the players master a new skill. We are here to contribute to that joyful feeling and connect people in a way that has never been done before.

If I am looking for training, but do not currently have a group how do I get involved?

If you have already asked your friends to form a group together, but they are not available at the time you want to train then send us a message under our “Contact” page and fill out the “Player Form” on the Left.
